Open AiR is a six-week new media residency program where artists create dynamic digital media works alongside Open School East middle school students in an open learning environment.
Residencies provide transformative experiences for the artist, students and staff through creative participation and community-minded projects. Past Open AiR artists-in-residence include guitarist/band leader Bibi McGill, international artist INSA, local neon fabricator/designer Perry Pfister, multidisciplinary artists Kello Goeller, Elijah Hasan and Matt Henderson.
All residencies are held during the school year at Open School East, located at 16570 SE Oak St in Portland, OR.
